The evolution of investment funds

Investment funds have always played a significant role in the growth and success of the Luxembourg Financial Centre. Two prior trends can be identified:

10 years ago Luxembourg became a European leader in mainstream (standard) funds and has turned into a worldwide export market. Luxembourg Funds are today registered for distribution in countries like Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Chile, Peru…
in recent years the adaptability of Luxembourg’s regulatory bodies has allowed the development of alternative types of funds and has created new opportunities in the field of investment funds.

Along with this impressive growth, Luxembourg has built a reputation for expertise and trust. All Luxembourg funds are authorised and supervised by the financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
