The KBL group supports Europa Nostra, a federation present in 40 European countries
Founded in 1963, Europa Nostra encompasses more than 200 heritage associations across Europe. It is the spokesperson for this vast movement of European NGOs when dealing with international bodies, in particular the European Union, the Council of Europe and Unesco.
The aims of Europa Nostra are to promote, at a European level, best practices in heritage conservation, architecture, urban and rural planning and to encourage the balanced and sustainable development of our environment, both urban and rural , natural and built-up.
Europa Nostra is a non-profit-making association and its activities are financed through membership fees and donations from individual and group members, with the support of the European Commission, other public institutions and private patrons.
