Who I am
I was born and raised in Jamaica but moved to England at the age of 10, where I completed my education. My first job was in the retail industry and I worked my way up the ladder to become an office junior.
After that, I moved on to several other office roles and started a family; I have two sons. During this period, I embarked on a career in the telecom industry, where I worked in customer service and eventually supervised a team of my own. After this, I moved on to my first position as a receptionist at an estate agent and was there for about 10 years before starting at Brown Shipley.
What I do
I have been a receptionist at Brown Shipley for over six years and, over that time, have undertaken a number of interesting projects. Recently, I have started to work closely with our Head of Facilities as we reshuffle and utilize space more effectively in the London office. I have found this process quite invigorating and different from my day-to-day role.
What I thinK
Working for a bank has been quite an eye opener as I meet and greet clients of all ages, professions and walks of life. I am fortunate to work within an appreciative and supportive team.
