Who I am
I was born in Luxembourg and am married with a 14-year old daughter.
I joined KBL epb in 1980 in the Coupons department. Later I worked in the “Secrétariat Valeurs” where I was responsible for opening and monitoring the internal IT system for all the stock bought on the stock exchange.
After returning from parental leave in 2001, I joined the Accounts Payable team.
What I do
In Accounts Payable, my colleagues and I are responsible for the payment of invoices, which involves managing budget lines for the bank. I also carry out the monthly and annual VAT returns for KBL epb and all the consolidated companies.
I handle expense claims, statements for our corporate Visa cards and those of staff on attachment.
All these jobs require accuracy, an acute sense of organization and discretion.
I’m lucky to work in a team where there is good communication. Management confidence in us means that we can work autonomously.
What I think
One of our department’s main principles is flexibility. Each of us knows all the jobs required by the department and it is this multi-tasking approach, coupled with variety, that makes the work interesting.
Thirty-four years have passed since I joined KBL epb. I’ve seen it evolve and change, especially recently. But that is normal for all organizations; if you don’t move forward, you go back.
