Jan Maarten de Jong has been Chairman of the KBL epb Board since May 2015. In addition, he is a member of the board of several European banks, insurance companies and international industrial groups (in particular, Heineken N.V.). He has been a member of the KBL epb Board for many years. He was previously a member of the ABN Amro Executive Committee. A graduate of the University of Amsterdam, holding a degree in Economics, de Jong earned his MBA at INSEAD and completed the International Senior Managers Programme at Harvard Business School.
George Nasra, who serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, is CEO of Precision Capital, a Luxembourg-based bank holding company. He previously served as Managing Director of International Bank of Qatar (2008-12), the capstone of his long banking career in the Middle East, where he served primarily at National Bank of Kuwait (1979-2008).
Alfred Bouckaert joined the KBL epb Board in 2013 after serving as President of the Board at Belfius Bank and Insurance since 2011. He spent the 11 preceding years at AXA where he was successively CEO of Axa Belgium, Norcee and a member of the main Management Board. He has also served as a General Manager at Crédit Lyonnais Europe and, before the acquisition, at Chase Manhattan Bank.
Anne Ruth Herkes previously served as State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, where she led Germany’s global trade interests, and EU and WTO trade negotiations. She has nearly 30 years of professional experience in politics, diplomacy, and economic affairs in Europe, the US, Japan and Qatar. She earlier served as Ambassador to Qatar and, before that, was a member of the Executive Management of BP Biofuels in London in her role as Vice President, Policy and Communications. She previously served on the board of KfW IPEX-Bank.
Maurice Lam joined the Board of Directors of KBL epb in July 2015. A former Managing Partner and CEO of Deloitte in Luxembourg, Lam graduated with a degree in economics from a UK university and subsequently qualified as a UK chartered accountant and a Luxembourg réviseur d’entreprises. As a board member, he serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee of the bank. Currently, he is also a member of the Board of a major Chinese bank.
Antoine Marcolin, who was appointed to the KBL epb Board of Directors in August 2018, currently serves as Deputy CEO of Precision Capital, the Luxembourg-based banking holding company he joined as an Associate in 2014. An experienced financial services sector professional, he earlier served for six years at Deloitte Luxembourg in audit and corporate finance functions. A French national, Marcolin earned a degree in law from the University of Lille and an MA from the ESCEM School of Business and Management. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the London Business School.
Marco Mazzucchelli has been active in the financial industry for over 30 years, covering Senior Executive roles for a number of leading institutions. Over the years, he also served as Independent Director on several Boards, including Borsa Italiana (IT), MTS (IT), EuroMTS (UK), Harrods Bank (UK), Lindorff Group (NOR), Ospedale San Raffaele (IT), Kairos Investment Management (IT). Additionally, he was Member of the European Commission High-Level Expert Group on Bank Structural Reform and of the European Banking Authority Stakeholders Group as well as Visiting Scholar at MIT Sloan.
Anne Reuland joined the KBL epb Board in 2012. She is Senior Legal Counsel in the Legal, Corporate & Finance Department of Société Européenne des Satellites SA. She was earlier an attorney and senior associate at Arendt & Medernach. She previously served as an external consultant to Natixis Bank and the European Investment Bank.
Peter Vandekerckhove serves as Group CEO and member of the Board of Directors of KBL epb . He previously served as CEO, Retail, Private & Enterprise Banking, at BNP Paribas Fortis. He began his career in wealth management in 1992 as Managing Director at Pierson, Heldring & Pierson Belgium. He rose rapidly in the leadership of that bank (subsequently known as MeesPierson) – first as CEO, Belgium, and then Group CEO. Following the acquisition of MeesPierson by Fortis, he joined the Management Committee of Fortis Private Banking. He was then named CEO, Fortis Retail Banking Belgium.
Albert Wildgen has been a lawyer in Luxembourg since 1977. He is a member of various local and international boards and Chairman of Estate Administration for HRH the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Before taking up his duties as a member of the KBL epb Board in 2012, he was the Chairman of Cargolux.
