  • Peter Vandekerckhove

    Group CEO

    Peter Vandekerckhove serves as Group CEO and member of the Board of Directors of KBL epb . He previously served as CEO, Retail, Private & Enterprise Banking, at BNP Paribas Fortis. He began his career in wealth management in 1992 as Managing Director at Pierson, Heldring & Pierson Belgium. He rose rapidly in the leadership of that bank (subsequently known as MeesPierson) – first as CEO, Belgium, and then Group CEO. Following the acquisition of MeesPierson by Fortis, he joined the Management Committee of Fortis Private Banking. He was then named CEO, Fortis Retail Banking Belgium.

  • Carlo Friob

    CEO, Luxembourg

    Carlo Friob serves as CEO, Luxembourg, at KBL epb . He earlier served as BGL BNP Paribas as Director of Products & Services, Wealth Management, Luxembourg and Global Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management, BNP Wealth Management. Previously, he served as General Manager, Private Banking, at the Luxembourg-based bank. A Luxembourgish national, Friob has pursued the majority of his career in his native country, while also serving in the United States and Hong Kong as part of his duties. He holds a degree in business and financial sciences from the ICHEC Brussels Management School in Belgium.

  • Rachel Hamen

    Group CFO

    Rachel Hamen serves as Group Chief Financial Officer at KBL epb . She joined the bank in February 2016. Earlier CFO, Continental Europe, at State Street Bank in Luxembourg, which she joined in 2007 and where she also served as a member of the Management Board, Ms. Hamen was named “CFO of the Year” at the 2014 Luxembourg Finance Management Awards. A French national who began her career in 1993, she holds an MBA in finance from Laval University in Canada, as well as a master’s in business administration from EDHEC Business School in France.

  • Bruno Lèbre

    Group Chief of Wealth Management Solutions

    Bruno Lèbre serves as Group Chief of Wealth Management Solutions at KBL epb . A senior private banking professional with nearly three decades of experience, he joined the Luxembourg-headquartered group in 2017. Previously a member of the Executive Committee at Société Générale Private Banking, Lèbre most recently served as Global Head of Compliance for the private bank following earlier stints as Global Head of Wealth Management Solutions and Global Head of Investment Solutions for the same business unit. A French national, he earned his master’s degree from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI).

  • Paul Scholten

    Group COO

    Paul Scholten serves as Group Chief Operating Officer at KBL European Private Bankers (KBL epb), the Luxembourg-headquartered private banking group. An experienced financial services professional, he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Theodoor Gilissen, KBL epb ’s wholly owned Dutch private banking unit. Scholten began his career at ABN AMRO in 1984, holding a range of senior positions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, rising to the post of COO, Retail & Private Banking. He holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Business and a Master of Law from the University of Utrecht.

  • SIEGFRIED MARISSENS

    Secretary General

    Siegfried Marissens serves as Secretary General at KBL epb. He also heads the group’s Corporate Center and is responsible for the Legal department. Over his 25-year career at KBL epb, Marissens has held a range of roles, commencing as a portfolio manager in Luxembourg, then holding the same position at Brown Shipley, the group’s UK affiliate. Since 2001, he has held roles with significant pan-European dimensions. He earned his degree in commercial engineering at the University of Antwerp, complemented by an MA in macroeconomics from the College of Europe in Bruges.

  • ANTHONY SWINGS

    Group Chief Risk Officer

    Anthony Swings serves as Group Chief Risk Officer at KBL epb, a position he assumed in 2018. Earlier, he served as Group Head of Risk, supervising staff in Luxembourg and across the group’s network. A Belgian national who earned his degree in civil engineering at the University of Liège, Swings began his career at ING in Brussels as an IT project manager focused on the implementation of market risk management tools. He joined KBL epb in 2002 in a similar capacity. Over the following decade, he assumed increasingly senior positions in the Risk department at KBL epb.
