Merck Finck, in partnership with the Pinakothek der Moderne, served as proud sponsor of the Plant Drawing exhibition, with artwork by American artist Ellsworth Kelly.
For three months, beginning in October 2012, a selection of some 60 drawings and 24 large-scale lithographs of plants by Kelly were on display. This selection spans the time in which he was active after leaving France in 1954.
Merck Finck and the Pinakothek der Moderne have long been close partners, and we were happy for the opportunity to work together again on the Plant Drawing exhibition.
“Our clients like visionary artists. To support such an exhibition is a great honor for us,” said Georg Freiherr von Boeselager, member of the Management Board at Merck Finck.
Together with the Graphische Sammlung, Merck Finck organized guided tours for clients, as well as evening events with dinner and art talks. Parallel to the Plant Drawings exhibition, the Haus der Kunst also displayed "Black & White" by Kelly.
